DIRECTIONS
From Spruce Pine, follow US 19 to Cane River Church Rd.  Turn Right. At the stop sign, go straight on the paved drive and the shelter is at the very end of the driveway (dead ends).

From Asheville, travel I-26 West to Exit #9 (Burnsville exit).

From Johnson City, travel I-26 East to Exit #9 (Burnsville exit). 

-Follow US 19 for 12.5 miles. 

-Look for the green sign that says “Yancey County Animal Shelter” then turn left onto Cane River Church Road. 

-At the stop sign, go straight on the paved drive and the shelter is at the very end of the driveway (dead ends).
